LightSquared Vows 50% Lower Data Bills

LightSquared CEO said that the network will let retail partners cut customers mobile data costs in half. Pricing will begin at $7 a gigabyte for the high-speed Internet services – that may lower the consumer monthly bills to $50 a month from about $100.

WirelessIntelligence Research predicts spectrum fragmentation in LTE deployments

According to WirelessIntelligence there will be 38 different spectrum frequency combinations used in LTE deployments by 2015 – by over 200 different deployments. The fragmentation can hinder LTE roaming if device makers are forced to support many frequencies as they already need to support backward compatibility. one device that support all required frequencies is less likely.

Polycom expands Microsoft Lync interoperability to the new CX7000 video collaboration solution

Polycom’s CX7000 is built for full integration with Lync UC platform. Polycom is also testing its RealPresence telepresence platform for Lync interoperability.
