The family and friends like to stay connected via social Tv. With this way the users of social networks send comments through mobile phones, to get more audience and high ratings in some shows. The advertisers are more interested to run their ads during the hours of these shows and the users like to watch shows that allow to send comments to their friends or family. I like this new way to monetizing the social Tv experience.

I think interactive TV will actually get a boost sooner than might be expected. This is because I don't think it will be too long until people are routinely watching TV using an internet connection. Already, flat screen, thin profile TVs are in many people's homes. It's no big deal to plug the monitor cable into the flat screen HDTV and presto, you are watching TV on the internet, not your computer.

If you have a dual monitor card in your computer, you can use the computer for your computer type tasks and watch TV at the same time.

Of course at the present Internet TV viewing is not the same experience as watching TV using cable or satellite. The big difference is the menu system. The providers of internet TV have yet to set up a menu type system that rivals that provided by cable/satellite TV providers. Perhaps one reason for this is that internet TV provides sooo many stations, whereas cable only provides somewhere around 200.

This will be solved. People will routinely watch TV using their internet connection. From there it's only a baby step to full interactivity. As a viewer you can interact, or not, as you chose. Small wireless keyboards, not much bigger than an iPhone will replace the remote. You'll be able to lie on your couch and serf just like with cable, but with far, far more choices.

The two screen experience is what we've worked to create at spot411.com - production companies can always go and create their own interactive TV viewing experience, or even through third parties, but we have built a system that allows people to watch anything they want and use our software for that stellar two screen experience. Most people, we've found, simply go and watch TV- the interactivity of the one screen experience can oftentimes diminish the actual programming, and that's something we've kept in mind while designing our product. The focus of Social TV is still the television, we just want to make watching TV a more social experience. Take a look- We think it's the future of where social TV is headed :) Thanks! - Landon @ http://spot411.com

Hey Ilil Ben-Shalom - thanks for the post and the mention. Another example is the heavy social media presence at this years Olympic games. We strongly see the shift to interactive tv and commenting on the go in the very near future. If you have any questions about Vidrollr or need any more information, please let me know!! Best, Kate @vidrollr
